LAMINAROCFD ADD-IN v0.47.4 (Inventor 2027, Windows, per-user install, no admin)

INSTALL
Close Inventor, then double-click "Install newest Laminaro add-in.cmd" in the vault's
Laminaro builds folder (or run install.ps1 from this zip). Not code-signed yet: if Inventor's
"Add-in Manager Security Alert" appears, open the Add-In Manager, select Laminaro, untick Block,
tick Loaded/Unloaded + Load Automatically, OK.
If an old LaminaroCFD panel lingers, right-click the ribbon > Reset ribbon.

THE DOTS (ribbon badges, tooltips, study browser, boundary list)
  ● done (you opened the step and clicked OK) ○ suggested (filled in for you, not yet confirmed)
! needs attention (shown as a plain instruction; nothing is red)
Nothing is "done" just because Laminaro guessed it: open the step and confirm it. 5 Run warns about ○ steps.

THE LAMINAROCFD ENVIRONMENT (v0.38: Environments › LaminaroCFD; Finish LaminaroCFD returns to the part)
Study + New study: a name, "What do you want to model?" (the flow inside a part or around it)
                   and "Where is the fluid?":
                   - Laminaro shall build the fluid volume around my part
                   - I've modelled the fluid myself as a separate body (choose it from the list)
and each body's role: Solid body (the fluid flows around it) or Shall be excluded from study.
Flow inside a part (pipe, duct, housing): model the fluid as its own body, e.g. a block over the
cavity, Combine > Cut with the part, keep the tool body; tag its end faces Inlet / Outlet. Laminaro never
decides which body is the fluid; it warns when a body around all the others is still a solid.
  Guided study 1 Geometry · 2 Boundaries · 3 Fluid & flow · 4 Mesh · 5 Run · 6 Post-processing
1 Geometry: the same choice as New study, plus the part check.
2 Boundaries: every body and face group as a row in the LaminaroCFD tree; double-click one to edit it.
Inlet: speed, flow rate, or (modelled box) wind EN 1991-1-4 from v_b,0; direction normal
to the face, along an edge/axis you click, or a vector (always into the fluid). Its
turbulence (intensity, length scale) is suggested; set your own if you know it.
Outlet: pressure. Ground: terrain category (roughness). Walls: no-slip or slip.
Faces not set are walls ("N faces not set → treated as Wall").
3 Fluid & flow: the fluid (air, water, custom) and the turbulence model: Automatic (from the
Reynolds number), Laminar, k-ω SST or k-ε realizable ("Which one do I need?").
4 Mesh: Draft / Standard / Fine. Generate mesh, then "Show mesh on part" draws it in Inventor's
                   own view (surface cells shaded with edges, a cut coloured by cell size; turn and zoom it as usual;
it goes when the part changes, "out of date"), and "The mesh in 3D…" opens a cut you can slide
through the cells, coloured by size, non-orthogonality or skewness.
5 Run: "Run quick look" (set-up check) or "Run full study · <mesh level>". Every run starts
steady; if the flow doesn't settle, the run window offers "Switch to unsteady flow".
When done: "Save results and continue to post-processing" or "Discard results" (asks).
Each run gets a convergence verdict: converged / nearly / not converged ("Run longer").
6 Post-processing: the numbers and the verdict, the run in 3D (turn it, section cuts, speed or
pressure, vectors, streamlines, click for values; "Use this view"), Study quality (convergence,
mesh, fluid region, physics, and what to do next with buttons), and a box to say what you want:
reports (PDF, Word, HTML) and videos (MP4, GIF). Claude may ask a clarifying question first.
Run · Learn Run status (progress, mesh stage, queue position, Stop), Settings, Examples.
STUDIES AND RUNS
A part can hold several studies, each with several runs and its own body roles (one study may use the
modelled air box, another may exclude it). Face boundary types are shared by all studies of a part.
The LaminaroCFD browser pane appears once a part has a study (New study, or any step button); a part
without studies shows no Laminaro tree. Deleting the last study removes the tree again.
Results are copied next to the part (Settings: or into a folder you choose):
      <Part> · LaminaroCFD\<Study>\<Run n · level · yyyy-mm-dd hh.mm>\ (Results.html, pictures\, data\, view3d\)
...\post-processing\<yyyy-mm-dd hh.mm · title>\ (each request: its reports and videos, and your words)

RUNNING JOBS
The desk PC's watcher runs queued jobs automatically; results come back through Dropbox.

NEW IN v0.47.4 (30 Oct: the first build for the real online services)
  - The licence: tokens from api.laminaro.com are checked with Laminaro's production key, so real licence keys
(Lemon Squeezy) activate. The local test service is still trusted when it runs on this PC.
  - The CFD Tutor answers with what Laminaro does that gets you closest: asked for a handbook loss coefficient, it points
to your own run's ζ / Kv / pressure drop to set beside the handbook value (with a typical value as a note).
  - The AI review's "basis" says "Laminaro's reference runs" (or "physics"); no internal section numbers.
  - 3D result: a long pipe lies along the screen, side-on, the whole part in the picture (it stood as a thin upright
bar when drawn along Inventor's Z). Views saved before keep their cuts and colours and get the new camera.

NEW IN v0.47.3 (30 Oct: the new logo, and three tree fixes from Niels's check of v0.47.2)
  - The Laminaro logo: a koi seen from above, made of streamlines in the Turbo colour map. On the LaminaroCFD ribbon
button (with Inventor's blue "enter" badge), on the top line of new LaminaroCFD trees, in Windows' app list and the
Start-menu link, and on the website (header, footer, favicon).
  - Tree: the ▶ line keeps its hint short (the rest is on hover); a face left as a wall shows the grey of the walls, not
"?"; Post-processing shows a grey ring until the first run (nothing to do there yet); the hover texts name the
    new symbols.

NEW IN v0.47.2 (29 Oct night: Niels's check of v0.47.1)
  - The LaminaroCFD tree says it by shape: ✓ done · ? still to set · ⚠ check it · ✗ blocks the run · ▶ next. No separate
"Next:" line (the next step is marked ▶ in bold), no licence line and no legend under the tree.
  - The licence: on entering LaminaroCFD when something needs doing (once per session, "Look around first" to explore);
at Mesh and Run the card says why; 5 Run shows the licence or the trial's runs left before you click.
  - The free trial says what the email address is used for (Privacy ›).
  - Settings in two columns (the whole window on a laptop at 150 %): where the simulations run, where Laminaro puts its
files (run results; finished reports and videos), the AI, the support bundle at the bottom.
  - "Save first": says that the study lives inside the part file, and offers "Always save before a mesh or a run".
  - 5 Run: no "Run on" line; "Run to convergence" on a Draft mesh; a plain line about changing the part during a run.
  - The CFD Tutor bar opens once where it stays (it jumped); no developer line in the Explore / Examples tooltips;
"1 face not set: it is a wall".

NEW IN v0.47.1 (29 Oct evening: synced folders, real-click passes, two bug hunts)
  - The package unpacks anywhere (also under a long OneDrive Downloads path).
  - Parts and results in OneDrive or Dropbox: Laminaro waits for the sync app instead of failing, and the run's
working files stay on this PC (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Laminaro\jobs), so they are not uploaded. Reports stay beside the part.
  - A fifth example: hot and cold water mixing in a tee, with its tour.
  - Without a licence, the licence card leads with Subscribe (and the free trial while unused).
  - Every message is a Laminaro card; "Post-processing" before a run offers to open 5 Run.
  - Fixed: the Inlet / Outlet / Wall buttons now open the speed or pressure to type; choosing "Laminaro shall build the
fluid volume" no longer unticks "The flow around a part"; a saved part is not asked to be saved again before the run.
  - Reports: the PDF is made for a part with "#" in its name; Word opens them as current Word files; a format that
could not be made is said. "&" in part, study and measurement names is shown.
  - Runs: Laminaro restarts its job runner on this PC when it has stopped; a run you stop in its start-up is "a rough
value for trends"; a sweep or parameter study shows the time of all its cases; Compare does not call two runs of
the same set-up "a real change".
  - A renamed study keeps its results; Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y in a Laminaro panel are Inventor's Undo / Redo; closing a
question with x is never its second answer (e.g. "save first" closed starts no run).
  - Settings: "another folder" for results now takes effect; Metric shows SI headlines; an offline licence offers
"Check the licence now"; a part made from an assembly shows each body's component in New study.

NEW IN v0.47.0 (29 Oct, the test-launch package)
  - The licence: Settings > Licence (and the "Licence" line at the top of the LaminaroCFD tree). Enter the key from the
purchase email, or start the free trial (3 runs and the AI features, email code, no card). A licence is one person
on any of their PCs; activating on another PC moves it. Offline: 14 days, then read-only (set-ups and results stay
open; Run, Mesh and the AI need the licence). A PC that only solves for others needs none.
  - The AI (CFD Tutor, AI Checks, reports) goes through Laminaro's own service with your licence: no API key needed.
  - Every report in one look: the answer first ("Pressure drop 872 Pa at 14.1 m3/h -> Kv 151 m3/h"), the key numbers
as tiles with their +-, a plain verdict, numbered figures, clean A4 print. Trial reports carry a "Laminaro trial" mark.
  - Every window fits the screen (also a laptop at 150 %): buttons pinned at the bottom, the rest scrolls; no window
jumps or flickers when it opens, and no gap between two steps (Back / Next).
  - The card look in every step window; the boundary editor offers Inlet / Outlet / Wall in one click; "not ready to
run" opens the missing step; the model tree is widened while LaminaroCFD is active (restored after).
  - The results window: the answer in bold, what the run was in grey under it; a flat part (a bend) is cut through its
middle in the 3D view; hidden helper planes are not drawn.
  - Wind pictures are coloured again (a stale result from an earlier run was drawn).
  - The installer: "Install Laminaro.cmd" installs the add-in, the examples, the solver engine and the job runner in
one go; Start menu > Laminaro > Uninstall.

NEW IN v0.46.0 (29 Oct, the flow-only MVP)
  - This edition simulates the flow: pressure drop, Kv, flow split, forces and drag, velocities. Heat transfer and porous
bodies are not in it (their settings, in a part set up with an earlier version, are kept in the part and not used).
  - Answer first: an internal run with a liquid, one inlet and one outlet gives its Kv and Cv (the flow at 1 bar / 1 psi
drop) beside the pressure drop, in ①, the headline and the report.
  - Each ribbon step's tooltip says what is set (e.g. "Fluid & flow · Water (20 °C) · k-ω SST (automatic)").
  - New example: Water through a pipe bend (Ø50 mm, R 75 mm, 2 m/s): the pressure drop, K, and Kv, with a guided tour.

NEW IN v0.45.0 (28 Oct, the heat set-up redesign)
  - One question per face: "What happens to heat at this face?", answered with cards: Insulated · Still room air ·
    Breeze or fan (h 10-100) · Liquid cooled (h 500-5 000) · Held at a temperature · Heats with power (W or W/m²),
each with its surroundings' temperature (empty = the room air) and emissivity. Several faces at once: select them.
  - A solid body's row: "All its other faces (not against the fluid)" is its default (the same cards); a face that
differs is picked and set on its own, listed under the body as "overrides the default". One face to the room, one
insulated, one under a fan: now possible (it was one setting per body).
  - A fluid wall can have the room, a breeze or a liquid beyond it (a thin wall to the surroundings).
  - Contacts between solid bodies: found by Laminaro (the touching pairs), one row each under Boundaries: perfect,
thermal paste, dry metal on metal, a thermal pad (thickness, k) or a resistance. Replaces the body's own contact R.
  - 3 Fluid & flow › Heat: two switches (Heat transfer; the solid parts conduct, on by itself when there are solid
bodies), then what is set: "Heat comes in" and "Heat can leave", each line opens its row in 2 Boundaries, with
the checks: a temperature is set somewhere, the heat has a way out, the watts in against what can leave.
  - Gravity: "Up is" (not "down"), starting from Inventor's own Up; the arrow beside the part points up and says Up.
The Richardson number says whether gravity matters for this flow.
  - The room's temperature says where it is used ("used by 2 face settings").
  - The CFD Tutor bar never covers the ribbon's buttons: it measures them; over them it drops under the ribbon.
  - New heat reference case "faces": a block insulated but for one liquid-cooled face (35.99 °C, hand calc 35.99 °C).

NEW IN v0.44.0 (28 Oct, from Claude's bug sweep)
  - Run time: the estimate counts the physics (heat through solid bodies ~1.8x, and it settles later) and the cores
Laminaro may use; when another run is computing on this PC it says the new one starts after it.
  - Air faster than ~100 m/s (Mach 0.3): a note (the solver treats air as incompressible); near Mach 1: blocked.
  - 4 Mesh, smallest opening: its narrow width (a 40 x 100 mm inlet: 40 mm), not the diameter of a circle of its area.
  - 3D view: no false "The part has changed since this run" for parts with a body inside the fluid (a filter, a plate);
a straight cut coloured by temperature shows the solid bodies too (the heat sink's plate was a hole).
  - 3 Fluid & flow, flow around a part: one line says why heat, gravity, radiation and the sun are greyed out.
  - Messages no longer say "in this version". Study names: / becomes -, other characters a folder cannot hold a
space, at most 60 characters. Windows open below the CFD Tutor's bar. Every step window carries its number
    (1 Geometry, 3 Fluid & flow, 5 Run, 6 Post-processing). Fluid properties to 4 digits (1.204, 1.506E-05).

NEW IN v0.43.3 (28 Oct)
  - The heat-sink tour says what the example is (a single aluminium plate, 10 x 80 x 200 mm, in a 40 x 100 mm channel)
and what the 3D view shows (the air's temperatures; the plate's own are in Check the result).

NEW IN v0.43.2 (28 Oct)
  - A fifth solved example: Heat sink cooled by air (50 W, aluminium, air at 10 m/s: hottest 45.4 °C, the heat balance,
h), with a 7-stop guided tour. Explore's "Heat transfer" line opens it. Download "Laminaro examples/heatsink.zip"
(10 MB) and unzip it into %APPDATA%\Laminaro\examples\heatsink, or let Explore fetch it.

NEW IN v0.43.1 (28 Oct)
  - A fourth solved example: Filter in a duct (a porous body from its datasheet: 40 Pa at 1 m/s, 120 Pa at 2 m/s), with
a 7-stop guided tour and two cuts before and after the filter. Explore's "Porous media" line opens it. Download
"Laminaro examples/filter.zip" (15 MB) and unzip it into %APPDATA%\Laminaro\examples\filter, or let Explore fetch it.

NEW IN v0.43.0 (28 Oct)
  - Examples are fetched on first use: an example not installed yet is downloaded once (from laminaro.com once the website
hosts them; Settings' ExamplesUrl can point at a folder meanwhile), unpacked, and opened with its tour. The examples
pack stays for now; later the installer is the add-in alone (~1.5 MB).
  - Tours: the body a stop is about is lit and the bodies in front of it are hidden for that stop (the pipe hid the air).

NEW IN v0.42.2 (Niels's v0.42.1 review, 28 Oct)
  - The CFD Tutor's bar sits in the ribbon row, at its right end, as wide as the free space allows (under the ribbon only
when a narrow window leaves no room).
  - Dropped, it stays exactly where you drop it (it slid a few cm down or up, by where it was dropped), and it fills its
width (no white strip right of Ask).
  - The examples pack is 60 MB instead of 171 MB (a coarser 3D view grid, no mesh-viewer cell data), and the installer
unzips it several times faster (and skips it when the same pack is already installed).

NEW IN v0.42.1 (Niels on the train, 28 Oct)
  - Explore LaminaroCFD opens at its full size (it opened as a sliver); the tour panel has one title bar.
  - The ribbon is lighter: no CFD Tutor button (its bar is always there), no Examples button (Explore lists them, with
"All examples ›"), no Compare button (it is in ① Check the result).
  - The CFD Tutor's bar sits just under the ribbon, centred over the model (in the ribbon it covered Finish LaminaroCFD).
  - The installer skips the examples when the same examples zip is already installed (only the add-in is copied).

NEW IN v0.42.0 (learning the app: Explore and examples that explain)
  - ★ The LaminaroCFD tab › Explore LaminaroCFD: one page of what Laminaro does, by the question you have (what you can
simulate, what you get out). Each line: "Ask the Tutor ›" (the CFD Tutor answers it for your part); where there is one,
"Example ›". At the bottom: "Missing something you need? Tell us ›". It opens by itself the first time you enter the
    LaminaroCFD environment.
  - ★ Examples that explain: Examples (or Example › in Explore) opens a solved example with a short guided tour: each stop
says one thing and shows it in the real place (the body lit in the model, its row opened in 2 Boundaries, ① or the 3D
view), Next › / ‹ Back, questions to the CFD Tutor at any time; the last stop suggests one change to try.
Pipe with a sudden expansion (with four measurements) · Wind on a silo · Heat sink cooled by air · A parameter study
of a pipe's diameter. The flat plate (the trust check) stays a set-up to run yourself.
The solved examples come in their own zip (Laminaro-examples …zip) beside the add-in's: "Install newest Laminaro
add-in" installs both. Each opens as your own copy in Documents\Laminaro\Examples, to change and run again.
  - Results follow the part: a part moved or copied to another PC finds its runs again in "<part> · LaminaroCFD" beside it.
  - The CFD Tutor answers "can Laminaro do …?" from the same list as Explore.
  - Examples are built in mm (a computer whose default template is in inches made them US customary).

NEW IN v0.41.0 (Niels's evening review of v0.38/v0.39 on the T14s)
  2 Boundaries
  - The face editor opens without flicker (its rows were shown one by one while on screen: 15-17 re-layouts, now 1).
  - An inlet's value type is never blank (it went blank when a wall face became an inlet), and OK refuses to close
while a needed choice is empty. "Velocity" instead of "Speed" everywhere (the colour legends: velocity magnitude).
  - The footer: one line, "Set at least one inlet and one outlet: double-click a face above."
  - A solid body: "Its faces in the fluid: Wall"; no unlabelled emissivity box; "Solid-solid contact" only where the body
touches another solid; the coating behind "＋ Coating on its faces…"; "Heat through one face instead? Pick that face ›".
  - "Pick faces that differ…" says what to do in the editor itself (it was only in Inventor's status bar).
  - Materials: a part with a real Inventor material uses Inventor's own values (density, conductivity, specific heat);
"Generic" is said plainly; a material Laminaro only suggests is a grey ○ until you confirm it.
  - Emissivity: ~0.9 for any paint, whatever its colour; colour matters for the sun (absorptivity).
  Heat
  - The inlet's temperature is the fluid's: typed at the inlet; 3 Fluid & flow shows it (several inlets: their
flow-weighted mean, with the density and viscosity at it).
  - "With heat sources: only the faces you set give or take heat; all other walls are insulated."
  - The sun's strength and direction appear once "Sun on the outside faces" is ticked.
  Elsewhere
  - New study points to porous bodies, fans and radiation (where they are set).
  - The tree: every symbol says what it means on hover, a legend line at the bottom, "not set" a dashed circle.
  - Inside the environment Inventor's right-click menus stay Inventor's: Laminaro adds its items on top (a body's
Visibility was gone); "Set boundary…" on a body opens its row.
  - A brand-new part no longer reports an earlier unsaved Part1's boundaries as lost (the memory is keyed by the part's ID).
  - The CFD Tutor's bar is always there inside the environment (no ✕), wider (to 600 px), its Ask button smaller.
  - No promises: the particles option and "Laminaro cloud · coming" are gone, as are "comes later" texts.

NEW IN v0.40.0 (parameter studies: R4)
  - ★ 5 Run › What to run › A parameter study: vary a dimension of the part. Pick one of the part's parameters (user
parameters, and model parameters with a name: Manage › Parameters, e.g. D for a diameter), type 2 to 8 values
("60, 80, 100" in its unit; "80,5" is a decimal) and the aim: the lowest pressure drop, drag or hottest temperature,
the most / least flow through one of the study's measurements, the least force on one, or none.
  - Laminaro sets each value, lets the part rebuild and checks it before queuing the case: no failed feature, every
boundary kept its faces, the study still complete. A value that fails is skipped and said why; the others run. The
parameter is set back afterwards (the part saved again if it was saved).
  - Each case is its own run (its own mesh, its own design copy at that value, the study's measurements). ① Check the
result of any of them: the cases side by side (value, pressure drop, flow, drag or hottest temperature, the aim's
measurement), the best marked, the chart; double-click a case to show it. The table grows as cases finish. Results.html
and the report's facts have it too.
  - Measurements: a body's heat transfer coefficient h (its heat ÷ area × (mean surface T − the incoming T)); ṁ·cp·ΔT
in heat runs (cp of air or water when the job carries none).
  - The CFD Tutor knows it ("vary a diameter", "parametric", "optimise").
  - Checked (validation/param_refs.py) on a 1 m pipe, D = 60, 80, 100 mm at 5 m/s: each case's measured inlet area vs
π·D²/4 within 0.6 % (the value reached the mesh), Δp ratios vs Blasius (D1/D2)^-1.25 within 4.3 %, the table, the best
(D = 100 mm), the chart; the part back at 100 mm and saved. A length typed as 0 or below is refused (Inventor would
build -5 mm as 5 mm), and a case whose rebuilt value differs from the typed one is skipped.
  - Fixed: the run window's "reference runs make way (start within ~1 min)" while the reference suite only yields between
its cases (hours): it now says the reference run finishes its current case first.

NEW IN v0.39.0 (the results calculators: R3)
  - ★ 6 Post-processing › ① Check the result › MEASURE IN THIS RUN: named measurements on the run's flow.
      ＋ Through a boundary… an inlet's or outlet's flow, its total and static pressure (flow-averaged and area-averaged),
mean and highest speed, the mixed-cup temperature; "Every outlet together" too.
＋ Across a passage… click a cylindrical face in Inventor: a cut square across that pipe (only the pipe you
clicked); a flat face: a cut in its plane; a work plane: the whole plane through the fluid.
＋ Force / heat of a body… the force and moment the flow puts on a body or on the walls (pressure + wall friction),
the heat it gives to the fluid, its hottest and average surface temperature.
Select one for all its values, each with its ± (how much it moves between the solver's cell values and the same
field smoothed over the cell corners: the mesh's resolution there). Select two for the difference: the total
pressure lost and its K, the share of the flow, the temperature rise and the heat the stream picked up (ṁ·cp·ΔT).
  - Kept with the study: every run of it is measured the same way, on the desk as the run ends (older runs when ① shows
them, while their flow is still on the desk). Compare lists them (same name = same row); Results.html, the report's
facts and the AI Checks have them; the CFD Tutor knows where they are ("measure", "flow through a branch"…).
  - Checked against the solver's own numbers (validation/measure_refs.py): boundary flows to the digit, cuts across a
    split's branches within 0.1 %, a pipe's wall force vs its momentum balance 0.05 %, a body's pressure force vs the
    forces function object exact, a chip's 10 W out of its faces 0.03 %.
  - Not yet: a measurement from the 3D view's cut or a probe point; a heat run's wall friction; h per face.
  - ① Check: the AI review's texts wrap at the column's width (they ran off its right edge).

NEW IN v0.38.0 (the LaminaroCFD environment; Niels's v0.35 review on the PC)
  - ★ LaminaroCFD is an environment of its own, like Inventor's Stress Analysis: Environments › LaminaroCFD enters it
(its tab, the LaminaroCFD tree, the faces' boundary colours, Laminaro's right-click menus and face picking, the
CFD Tutor); Finish LaminaroCFD returns to the part. Outside it Inventor is as without Laminaro: its own tree and
menus (no "Set boundary…" in place of Inventor's body menu), no Laminaro face clicks, no colours, no Tutor bar.
  - The CFD Tutor can be typed into while a Laminaro window (New study, 3 Fluid & flow, 2 Boundaries…) is open: the bar
    runs on its own thread.
  - Its bar sits in the ribbon's free space at the top right by default; an answer opens downward under it (moved by
you, the place is remembered). A blinking dot while it thinks. It names the exact tree row and the clicks, and starts
    with what is missing.
  - 2 Boundaries: with heat on, a face left "(not set: Wall)" shows its heat choice at once (Fixed temperature, Power,
Heat flux); a fluid face that a solid body lies against says so ("Air · face 1 · against tube"), and the solid's row
says where it touches the fluid ("give its heat there").
  - New study: a body named like a fluid (Air, Water, Fluid…) is pre-selected as the fluid (in a pipe the solid tube
surrounds the air; that picked the tube); the "a body surrounds the others" note no longer asks about it once a fluid
    is chosen.

NEW IN v0.37.0 (porous parts: filters, screens, perforated plates)
  - A body's role "Porous: a filter, screen, perforated plate" (New study, 1 Geometry): it is part of the fluid and the air
passes through it, through its thickness, losing pressure by its resistance (no hole modelled).
  - 2 Boundaries › the porous body › Resistance: from its datasheet (the pressure drop at one or two face speeds; two
points fit the curve's shape), a perforated plate (open area, hole size, thickness; Idelchik's coefficients) or a
woven wire screen (open area). The panel says what it means: K, and the pressure drop at 1 and 3 m/s.
  - Modelled cut out of the fluid body or inside it: both work.
  - Results: each porous body's pressure drop, the flow through it and its face speed (①, report, notes).
  - Not scheduled (comes when users ask for it): porous bodies together with heat through solid bodies (a check says so).
  - Reference suite (heat + porous, 17 runs), all met; 6 new porous cases: a block from a datasheet at 1 and 2 m/s
(40.11 vs 40.13 Pa, 120.19 vs 120.43 Pa incl. duct friction), a perforated plate vs Idelchik (16.53 vs 16.39 Pa), a pad
inside vs cut out of the air body (3.175 vs 3.176 Pa), two branches with filters of 40 v² and 10 v² (flow 2.035 : 1
    vs 2 : 1).

NEW IN v0.36.0 (the part's outside: room air and sun)
  - 2 Boundaries › a solid body › Outside faces (the faces that do not touch the fluid inside): Insulated (as before),
To the room air (natural convection to still room air + radiation to the surroundings), or a set h (W/m²·K, e.g. a
breeze or a fan outside; radiation added). Its emissivity ε and the sun's absorptivity α beside it.
  - Natural convection per way a face points (sideways, up, down; textbook correlations: Churchill-Chu for vertical
faces, the horizontal-plate correlations for up and down), its h set from the body's expected temperature.
  - 3 Fluid & flow › The room and the sun: the room air's temperature (empty = the fluid's) and the sun (W/m², from a
direction or from a date, time and place; the sun's position by NOAA's algorithm). Faces turned away get none; no
    shading by other parts yet.
  - A housing larger than the air inside it is meshed whole (the mesh box now covers the solid bodies too).
  - Results: each body's heat to the room and the sun it took in; the heat balance counts them; the notes say it.
  - Reference suite (heat), all met, 4 new cases: a free-standing aluminium block in room air at its closed-form
    temperature (102.93 vs 102.93 °C), the same in a 60° sun (1.3660 W taken in, exact; 107.25 vs 107.25 °C), the sun's
position vs NREL SPA (0.003°), and two isolated vertical plates with the air resolved vs Churchill-Chu (−6.1 %).
    The 7 earlier cases unchanged.

NEW IN v0.35.1 (heat accuracy at the Standard mesh)
  - Solid bodies are meshed one level finer inside than the walls (about 10 cells across a plate or board): a solid's
hottest point at Standard now within ~1 % of a 1 mm mesh (v0.35: 4-6 % low). Heat runs with solids take about twice
    as long (a 50 W plate: ~15 min instead of ~8).
  - A solid lying inside the fluid body without being cut out of it is meshed as if it had been cut out: its heat
balance closes (0.65 % instead of a steady 2 %), and such a study stops by itself again.
  - The check "a body only N cells thick" counts the solids' own, finer cells.
  - CFD Tutor: the drag band sits along the top of the expanded bar (it sat between the answer and the input line).
  - Reference suite (heat): all met. Plate / cut-out / board hottest point +0.5 / +0.5 / +0.8 % of the 1 mm values;
embedded vs cut-out plate 215.35 vs 215.31 °C; heat balances 0.02-0.81 %; Gnielinski, Elenbaas, contact and coating
    unchanged (Nu 44.2 vs 44.7; 7.83 vs 7.9 W; 7.81 vs 7.81 K; 3.32 vs 3.32 K).

NEW IN v0.35.0 (Niels's v0.34 review, AI Checks, the heat results)
  - CFD Tutor (renamed from AI Tutor): its bar shows on a part with a LaminaroCFD study or while the LaminaroCFD tab is
active (a part being modelled stays clean; the first study brings it). The question box grows as you type (up to 5
lines; Enter asks, Shift+Enter a new line), your question shows above its answer, and a dark band along the top
drags it (the answer's empty areas drag too). No guessing: no command lists while you type or while it thinks (the
answer's Open links stay); with the AI switched off, Laminaro's matching commands instead.
  - Plain how-to questions are answered by a quicker model (Haiku 5.5: ~1-6 s at the AI instead of 2-6 s); anything about
a result or a judgement by the careful one.
  - New study asks "What do you want to model?": the flow inside a part or around it, + Heat transfer (heat sources,
conduction through the solid bodies, gravity, radiation). No list of questions: ① shows every
    result that applies.
  - ★ AI Checks: when a run starts, the AI reviews its set-up against Laminaro's reference runs (the lessons of the validation
runs: gravity off in slow heated flow, radiation off in still air, a Generic material, a body thinner than the mesh,
...): a small card only when it found something; a sound set-up says nothing. In ① the result is reviewed the same
way, under the verdict. Advice only (nothing waits for it, nothing changes); Settings › AI Checks switches it off.
  - Heat results in ①, the reports and the notes: h of each heated face and body (W/m²·K, against the incoming
temperature), the fluid leaving each outlet (its flow-weighted temperature, coldest to hottest across it, and
mixing: 1 = even), and with gravity on the flow the warm air draws through.
  - The 3D view shows the temperature inside the solid bodies: a cut colours through chip, board and heat sink alike,
and "Colour the geometry by temperature" (with Temperature chosen) colours the parts' surfaces.
  - Assemblies: in an assembly, LaminaroCFD › Simulate this assembly derives it into one part (Inventor's Derive, each
component its own body, linked to the assembly); then New study there. The CFD Tutor knows the route.
  - Coming cards are one plain note with Close (no "I need this"); the stale "Coming: Cooling study" card is gone.
Rotating parts and particles are not scheduled: their cards say they come when users ask for them.
  - Free surfaces (tank filling, sloshing) are not part of Laminaro: gone from the fluid list, New study and the
Tutor's command list; asked about, the Tutor says so in one line.
  - The reference suite has the heat cases (heat_refs.py): heated pipe vs Gnielinski, vertical plates vs Elenbaas,
a plate making heat (embedded and cut out), a board, contact resistance, a coating. A miss blocks a release.
    All met for v0.35: Nu 44.2 vs Gnielinski 44.7; 7.83 W per plate vs Elenbaas 7.9 W; contact jump 7.81 K vs 7.81 K;
    coating 3.32 K vs 3.32 K; cut-out vs embedded plate within 0.7 %; heat balances 0.02-0.9 % (embedded plate 2.0 %).
  - Fixed (found by the suite): next to a hot solid body the air could come out up to 10 K colder than the air coming in
(an unlimited gradient in the energy equation); now bounded. Known and stated: at the Standard cell size a solid's
hottest point reads 4-6 % low (against 1 mm cells); with a temperature limit close, run Fine. A heat run now stops only
once its heat balance has held within 1.5 % for a while (one plate stopped the moment it touched 2 %).

NEW IN v0.34.0 (heat build 2: heat through the solid parts)
  - 3 Fluid & flow › Heat › "Also through the solid parts": the solid bodies conduct heat (conjugate heat transfer: the
fluid and every solid body solved together). Inside a part, with a modelled fluid body: model the fluid with the solid
cut out, as usual, and keep the solid as its own body; Laminaro finds the faces they share.
  - 2 Boundaries › a solid body's row: its material (from the part's Inventor material; 21 materials incl. circuit board,
thermal pad, silicon; or Custom k, ρ, cp), the heat it makes (W), its contact resistance to touching bodies
(K·cm²/W) and a coating on its faces (mm and k).
  - Circuit boards conduct along the board far better than through it: Laminaro finds the board's thickness direction.
  - Results: the hottest place can be inside a body; each body's hottest, mean and surface temperature, what it makes
and passes on; Results.html and Study quality list the bodies. The tree shows each body's material and power and
    the heat settings.
  - Checks: no solid body to conduct, nothing makes heat, an Inventor material Laminaro does not know, a body thinner
    than about 4 mesh cells.
  - Validated (all against exact solutions): conduction in a plate with heat made inside it (the temperature across
it within 3.6 %); a board's two conductivities (the local energy balance within 0.3 % of the heat); contact
resistance 7.82 K against 7.81 K; a coating 3.32 K against 3.32 K; the fluid body with the solid cut out gives the
same answer as an embedded solid within 1 %; heat balances within 0.3 %.
  - AI Tutor (z27): the answer stays open while you follow it (✓ on the steps you opened; ▾ hides it, ▴ brings it
back); Laminaro's matching commands show while the AI thinks; panels it opens stay clear of the bar.
  - Fixed: the mesh panel said "5 Mesh" and the run dialog "6 Run"; the margin to your limit is shown to 3 digits;
the watcher stopping is said as such (it restarts itself within 5 minutes: a new watchdog).
  - Not yet: the part's outside giving heat to the room and the sun on it (v0.36); temperatures inside solids in the 3D
    view.

NEW IN v0.33.2 (Niels's v0.33.1 review: the AI Tutor bar and tidier panels)
  - The AI Tutor is a slim bar over the model (bottom right; drag it by its grip anywhere): type a question and press
Enter; the answer grows the bar upward, each step with an "Open … ›" link to the place it talks about; Got it, Esc,
a link or a click into the model shrinks it back to the input line. The AI Tutor button (now last on the tab) shows
or hides it; on and where you left it are remembered. Typing also lists Laminaro's commands (↓ to pick one).
  - The AI Tutor is on by default (no question first); under every answer: what was sent and "Turn off in Settings".
  - Settings: the version in its header and at the bottom (with the solver PC's when another PC solves, amber when
that one is newer), the AI choices grouped with what is sent under each.
  - Panel headers are a dark band with a grip: plainly the place to drag a panel.
  - 1 Geometry's part check laid out: a status line, each finding with Why and What to do, the orange highlight
switchable, the length unit on its own line; old step numbers in the advice texts corrected.
  - "&" shows in AI answers ("Fluid & flow"); the commands and explainers are cached for the AI (the input cost per question falls to about a fifth).

NEW IN v0.33.1 (the AI layer: AI Tutor answers and the fan datasheet reader)
  - AI Tutor: besides Laminaro's commands (instant, offline), "Ask the AI Tutor" (Ctrl+Enter, or Enter when no command
matches) answers a question in your own words in 2-5 steps from your study's set-up (as the LaminaroCFD tree lists
it), with buttons that open the right place. Claude Sonnet 5.5, ~5 s.
  - Fan curve from a datasheet: 2 Boundaries › a fan › "Read the curve from the fan's datasheet (PDF or picture) with the
AI…": the AI (Claude Opus 5.5) reads the chart point by point, offers each speed/voltage when there are several, and
fills the table in the datasheet's own units with a link to open the sheet beside it. Tested on drawn charts with
known curves: within 1.3 % of the shut-off pressure (mean 0.2 %), stall dips included.
  - One question before the first use (what is sent: the question and the study's set-up lines, or the datasheet; never
the CAD model); Settings › AI Tutor answers and the fan datasheet reader.
  - The solver PC answers (its watcher, within a second, also during a run); from a laptop the request goes through
Dropbox. The API key stays on the solver PC. Every question is logged (jobs/_ai/questions.jsonl): what users ask.
  - Fixed: the fan table rejected its own numbers from 1 000 up ("1 000" with a digit-group space).

NEW IN v0.33.0 (heat build 1: heat on faces, gravity, radiation)
  - 3 Fluid & flow: Heat › "With heat sources" (inside a part), your temperature limit, Gravity with "down", and
Radiation between surfaces with the walls' emissivity. A Cooling study (New study) starts with all three on.
  - 2 Boundaries: a wall face gets No heat / Power (W) / Heat flux (W/m²) / Fixed temperature; heated faces glow orange
to red on the model; the tree says "heat 15 W"; with radiation a face can have its own emissivity.
  - Checks before the run: no heated face yet, a fan together with heat (a later build), slow flow without gravity, an
    unusually high heat flux.
  - The run: OpenFOAM buoyantSimpleFoam (air as an ideal gas, water by Boussinesq), radiation by fvDOM; with gravity the
openings sit in still outside air whose pressure falls with height; the monitor watches the hottest temperature and
the heat carried out, and stops only when they have settled and the heat balance closes.
  - Results: the hottest place against your limit (red when over), each heated face's temperature and heat, heat in /
carried out / radiated out and the heat balance; temperature colours in the 3D view; Study quality's Heat section.
  - Validated: forced convection in a heated pipe (Re 16 500): Nu 44.7 against Gnielinski 44.7 and Dittus-Boelter 47.5;
natural convection between two vertical plates at 40 °C (20 mm gap, 300 mm tall, air at 20 °C): 7.84 W per plate
    against Elenbaas 7.9 W (-0.8 %); the heat balance closes within 2 % (pipe) and 0.1 % (plates).

NEW IN v0.32.0 (Niels's v0.31 review)
  - Every run keeps the design it was made on: a copy of the part (design.ipt) and its parameters go with the run; the
report names it ("Design: Part3.ipt as of …, a copy is kept with this run · parameters"); post-processing offers
"Open the design this run was made on" when the part has changed since.
  - The study menu's Copy / Rename / Delete / Make active always act (on the right-clicked study, else the selected or
the active one) and are logged; Copy did nothing on the T14s.
  - The tree's top line is "LaminaroCFD" (it kept an old file name, "Part1", after a Save As).
  - ④ Report: Make it on its own row, full size (it was squeezed to a sliver); the AI note wraps to the column.
  - The tree: the next-step line says what it suggests ("Next: 5 Run · a quick look first (about a minute, it checks the
set-up)"); a stopping run says "stopping · making the pictures"; Post-processing is "next" only once there are
results; each run says which mesh it ran on (own mesh / on the mesh of 22 Oct); run numbers go on after discards.
  - An out-of-date generated mesh is dropped (and deleted unless a run ran on it): "the next run makes a new mesh".
  - Stopping a run inside its start-up (before iteration 300) says so first, with the trend ("still rises steeply").
  - The 3D view's legend stays inside the view.

NEW IN v0.31.0 (Niels's v0.30 review)
  - Bodies are never saved hidden: showing the mesh on the part hides the bodies, and a save (or the save prompt on closing)
wrote that into the file. Now they are shown for the save; parts saved so by v0.29-v0.30 get them back on opening.
  - Touchpad pinch zooms the 3D views again (v0.30 had switched it off with the page zoom); still sharp.
  - No false "Transient flow detected": only a result that goes up and down counts, not one still drifting out of the
start-up ("Still settling …", no pop-up, no switch offer).
  - Run window: the live Δp is the reported one (a reversed opening no longer weighs in); every ± says whose it is
("inlet 4's flow ± 22.6 %"); the pressure drop is judged by its own ±; reverse flow is the first row, in red.
  - The total flow has its own ± (it showed the worst inlet's); an opening still moving gets its own row in ①.
  - Fans: a fan symbol (hub and blades) at a fan inlet and in the fan-inside preview; the tree says "fan curve, 3 points:
    15 → 4 Pa over 20 → 39 l/s" in the fan editor's units.
  - One fluid: the fluid's ⓘ says it fills the part and enters through every inlet; texts say "fluid" not "air"; a liquid
with a fan curve ("is it a pump?") or fast liquid inlets is said before the run; "water leaves through …".
  - 4 Mesh legend: ticks at the refinement levels; the 3D mesh window's explanations behind ⓘs.
  - ② Explore fits its column (buttons and texts wrap, the list and Next fit); its instructions behind ⓘs.
  - AI Tutor (was Find): first on the tab and in Inventor's Quick Access Toolbar (Ctrl+Shift+F where Inventor allows);
says its answers come from Laminaro's commands until the AI is connected.
  - Placeholders: particles carried by the flow, water and air (free surface): cards, Fluid & flow, New study questions.
Coming cards say when ("before the beta" for heat and gravity).

NEW IN v0.30.0 (Niels's v0.29 review: correctness first, then calmer panels)
  - A fan inside the part blows toward the outlet by default; the choice says "Toward the outlet / Toward the inlets"
(not the plane's normal), and a fan blowing toward the inlets is said in 2 Boundaries before the run.
  - Reverse flow is reported: air leaving through an inlet or entering through an outlet gives a red verdict in ①, the
report and Study quality; a fan driven backwards gets no operating point. (The flows keep their direction now.)
  - ⓘ explainers: the grey paragraphs moved behind small ⓘs that open an explainer box (Fluid & flow, Run, Boundaries,
the mesh table, the results table). The ± never reads "±0 %" (it says "< ±0.1 %").
  - Post-processing ①: the key results as one compact table (result · value · ± · note), rounded to what the ± supports;
Study quality compact: one line per check with a ? for what it means, the suggestions as headlines; no scrollbar inside.
  - Panels: drag them by the header or any empty area, they open where you left them, ▴ tucks one to its header; no
flicker on opening; the fan panel's header is back.
  - Fan table: × says what it does (grey, red under the mouse); Ctrl+Z and "Undo" bring back a removed row, a cleared
table or a typed change; the two-number curve is folded behind "Only the fan's maximum pressure and maximum flow?".
  - 3D view: a touchpad pinch or Ctrl+wheel zooms the camera (sharp at any zoom), not the page; the mesh view frames the
cut; the cell-size legend has ticks at the refinement levels; Streamlines › look › moving particles (play/pause, speed).
  - Arrows on the model: lifted colours for dark faces, a minimum length from the model's size.
  - Find a command (Run · Learn › Find): type what you want to do ("fan inside", "sweep", "report") and open it.

NEW IN v0.29.0 (the first slice of the UX blueprint v2: the look, with the features to come in their places)
  - Property panels: the step windows look and sit like Inventor's own panels: no Windows title bar, a grey header with the
step's name and ×, a thin frame, at the top left of the graphics area beside the browser; drag them by the header.
  - New study asks "What do you want to know?" (pressure drop, Δp against flow, fan operating point, wind load, free flow;
Cooling is coming). Geometry shows each body's material from Inventor and one list of roles: solid, left out, and the
roles to come (porous, rotating, heat source). Fluid & flow shows Heat (carried with the flow / with heat sources and
    solids, coming) and Gravity (coming).
  - Flow sweep (working): Run › "A sweep of the flow" at e.g. 50, 100, 150 % of the set inflow: one case each on one mesh,
then the system curve: Δp = a·Q² and, when that does not fit within 5 %, the power law a·Qⁿ that does (a slow flow is
partly viscous). The curve and a "System curve" tile in post-processing ①.
  - Run on: this PC / Laminaro cloud (coming).
  - Glyphs on the model: arrows into each inlet and out of each outlet in its colour, a disc on a fan inlet (with the face
    colours, on the LaminaroCFD tab).
  - Features to come open a card: what it will do, what Laminaro does today, and "I need this" with a line on what for
(kept in wishes.json and in the support bundle).
  - The fan inside the part: added from the tree ("+ Fan inside the part…") or a work plane's right-click.

NEW IN v0.28.0
  - Transient results you can trust: the first 2 passes of the flow through the part are the start-up and never averaged;
until one more pass is averaged the run window says "Start-up: … the mean and its ± follow from pass 3 (~5 min)", with
no ± and no stop offer. The ± now includes the drift of the mean (Part3 run 2: 136.4 ± 0.28 Pa), so a short stretch can
never look precise. The chart labels the start-up and the stretch "averaged for the result (from 0.021 s)". Post ① and
the result table lead with the run's facts (passes, ±, "stopped in the start-up: a rough value").
  - Post-processing: the left side ~35 % (drag the divider; it is remembered), short step names when narrow; ④ in one
column with one scrollbar (the ticks in two columns when narrow, the request box grows with your text, the choices fold
away while a report is made); the study-quality box has room and one heading.
  - "Flow in time" videos: a moment saved every 1/8 pass (an early stop still has many), smooth frames between them,
~1 s of video per pass, the text clear of a player's controls.
  - 3D view: a Time slider for transient runs (up to 24 saved moments; Play; "Last (the result)").
  - Fans: curves with a stall hump are accepted (the stall stretch amber; the run says when the fan works there); a smooth
curve through the points (or "Straight lines between the points"), drawn to where it reaches zero, dashed beyond the
datasheet, and the solver uses the same curve; units per column (l/s, m³/h, m³/min, m³/s, CFM · Pa, kPa, mbar, mmH₂O,
inH₂O); one click edits a cell, × removes a row, rows sorted when you leave the table; a refused OK says
"Not saved: …" beside the buttons.
  - The fan inside the part moved to the tree ("+ Fan inside the part (on a work plane)…") and to a work plane's
right-click ("Fan on this plane…"); its dialog shows the plane, the cut and an arrow in the model, the cut's area,
and marks planes that do not cross the flow.

NEW IN v0.27.0
  - A fan inside the part: place a work plane across the duct in Inventor, then Boundaries › "Fan inside, on a work
    plane…": choose the plane, which way it blows and the datasheet curve. The fan fills the duct's cross-section there;
the run finds its operating point ("the fan on Fan plane delivers 8.76 l/s at 17.3 Pa") and shows it on the fan chart.
  - Fan curves as a table + a live plot (paste two columns from a datasheet or Excel; "Only two numbers?" makes a straight
line from the no-flow pressure and the no-pressure flow), in the part's units (l/s and Pa, or CFM and inH₂O). The
    editor stays on the screen.
  - Pressure (total) as an inlet kind: the inlet is fed at a pressure (a supply line, a plenum, a room) and the part decides
the flow; with several such inlets the run reports how the flow splits. "Nothing drives the flow" is caught before Run.
  - Transient runs: the passes of the flow through the part ("5.0 of 14 passes"), the time step and the total number of
steps, and "If you stop now: Δp = 136.4 Pa ± 0.20 Pa (95 %), from 3.0 averaged passes: good enough for engineering
use"; "Stop now and use this result". The average starts after the start-up (2 passes), so an early stop uses all its
useful time. The chart runs in simulated seconds, keeps the whole run, shades the averaged stretch, ticks each pass.
After Stop the window says the solver is wrapping up; a stopped run keeps its green stages and gets a result table.
  - Steady runs: the run window no longer promises "stops by itself" when the swing is outside the stop band; a regular
swing is said in words ("swings every ~18 iterations: typical of unsteady flow") with Switch to transient in bold.
  - Editing the part: the browser shows Inventor's Model tree in a sketch or on a modelling tab and the LaminaroCFD tree on
its tab; a boundary whose face an edit rebuilt is named ("1 outlet lost its face in the last change: set it again"),
with the Direct Edit tip; runs on an earlier version of the part are marked "earlier part" (as Inventor's Stress
Analysis); Copy study keeps a variant. The tree's colour squares match the faces.
  - Study right-click works on the study rows (Copy · Rename · Delete). Compare sits right after 6 Post-processing.
  - 3D view: streamlines "from the inlets" start at every inlet (at least 3 each, the rest by flow). Videos: "Flow in time"
for transient runs (50 saved moments, the time and the passes in the corner). The "where the pressure drop happens"
chart is gone (the Energy loss colour shows it).

NEW IN v0.26.0
  - Where the pressure drop happens (flow inside a part): a chart of the total pressure along the flow, inlet to outlet,
with the biggest drops marked ("48 % of it, around (0, 0, -29) mm"), in ① and in the reports; and "Energy loss" as
a colour in the 3D view: where the flow dissipates its energy (shear layers, separation, mixing).
  - Fans at an opening: an inlet's type "Fan (curve)" takes the datasheet curve (flow l/s : pressure rise Pa); the run
finds the operating point against the part ("the fan delivers 3.2 l/s at 85 Pa"), shown as a card and a chart.
(A fan inside the part on a work plane comes later.)
  - Compare A vs B is back on the ribbon (Study › Compare) and in ①, with the answer first: "Pressure drop −12 % from A to
B: a real change" or "within the noise".
  - Inlet direction inside a part: along an edge, a work axis or a work plane (its normal); it follows the plane when the
plane moves; the angle off the face normal is shown. Work planes in post-processing: a cut on any of them by name,
the planes and axes drawn in the 3D view (each with a tick; left out of pictures unless asked).
  - Guides: inlet turbulence (Low 1 % · Medium 5 % · High 10 % and "How do I choose?"; the length scale in mm) and the
turbulence model (each choice's meaning under the drop-down).
  - Study right-click: Copy study ("Study 5 (copy)", right below) · Rename · Delete (asks); no "Set boundary…" there.
  - The boundary editor opens without flicker; the mesh drawn on the part includes the inlets and outlets; the Mesh window
    opens beside the tree.
  - Run window: "converged below 10⁻⁴" line and its meaning, stronger chart lines, "mean … (last 10 %)" at the end, the
result table's notes use the window's width ("Flat" instead of "Levelled"). 3D view: "as a surface" with more contrast.
② "Cut from Inventor" in one box; "Keep for later" is now "Save view…".

NEW IN v0.25.0
  - Mesh views in post-processing: ② has Flow | Mesh above the 3D view (the run's own mesh: a cut through the cells,
coloured by size or quality). "＋ Add this view to the report" works in both: a mesh view becomes a report figure.
Every run now carries its mesh picture, and the template report shows it under "Mesh and convergence".
  - Run dialog in the card look: a table (mesh · run time · quick look · solver), the settings on one grid, the Run
button with the likely time ("Run · ~5 min"); "under a minute" (no more "~under a minute").
  - Run window 30 % wider and 20 % taller; when done, one table (key result with its settling, mass balance,
    residuals, verdict) instead of two paragraphs; the same mean as post-processing's card; "stop band ±1 %";
Discard quiet at the left, "Save and continue to post-processing ›" in blue; kept on screen.
  - Post ① cards all one height, each with its grey line; Loss coefficient K with its definition
(= Δp ÷ ½ρv², v = the mean inlet speed) and an ⓘ.
  - Study quality: "Simulated as" (your choice) and "Flow found" (what the run showed) as two rows.
  - Mesh window: "Smallest opening" shows the cells across it (what the level changes); "above 75° poor".
  - No "mesh ready" / "run finished" notification while you are looking at that window.
  - Shorter colour line in the tree; "vector thickness" in the 3D view; windows re-checked on screen after a move
or a Windows rescale. Time estimates: inside a part ≈ as before, around a part ×1.35 (from the native reference runs).

NEW IN v0.24.0
  - Native Windows engine: the desk now runs every job with OpenFOAM for Windows (v2606 + Microsoft MPI), no WSL. A
Windows setting that slowed window-less programs on the efficiency cores is switched off for the solver (up to 5x
faster when nobody uses the PC). Runs with an inlet temperature solve ~2x faster.
  - Engine installer for testers' PCs: Settings › Engine › Install… (or pipeline\install_engine.ps1 in this zip) sets up
OpenFOAM, Microsoft MPI (Windows asks once), ParaView, Python and the job watcher, then runs a 1-minute self-test.
Settings shows the engine's state (Repair…) and makes a support bundle (a zip in Downloads: logs, set-up and the PC's
specs, never the CAD model). Errors of the engine say what to do (MPI missing, OpenFOAM missing, blocked by antivirus).
  - Mesh window in a new card look: Draft · Standard · Fine as one choice with their cell counts, "or any number" on the
slider, a table (Item · Value · Verdict · Note) for what the mesh means; the three meshing steps tick off while it
runs; Mesh ready the same way (quality as Good / Acceptable, the run time in the table, "Next: Run ›").
  - Run window: "Stop now and show results" while the result still moves asks first and shows its range; a stop you
chose is said as such ("stopped by you at iteration 51 · a rough result"), not "not converged"; the bar follows
the solver; times as "1 h 1 min". Estimates include the native engine and a temperature.
  - 3D view: streamlines as shaded tubes with a thin dark outline (look: tubes / thin lines; tube size slider).
  - ④ Make the report on one aligned grid (Report · Add · Videos · Video files · Files · Language · Privacy · Save to);
    Make it at the right.

NEW IN v0.23.0
  - Videos for flow inside a part: a cut sweeping along the flow, streamlines growing from the inlets, a turntable with
see-through walls, and (transient runs) the flow in time. They work without AI too: tick them in ④ (Videos … as
    MP4 / GIF).
  - ④ Make the report on a grid: Report · Add · Videos (with MP4 / GIF) · Files · Language · Save to; only the ticks
that apply to the part's flow.
  - Transient runs: the run window counts simulated time ("0.031 of 0.6 s simulated"), says where the average comes
from, no steady verdict or "Converged enough"; one average everywhere (headline, card, verdict, quality list).
  - Times as "7 h 56 min"; a steady run shows "likely ~8 min · at most ~26 min" (from where this PC's runs stopped);
the transient estimate is calibrated, follows the typed time and is on the Run button; a long transient run gets a
hint to try ~5 passages first.
  - Boundaries: "Inlet…" from the bar or the right-click opens the editor ready (speed box filled and selected); the
tree follows faces clicked with the bar; new study: the two fluid choices exclude each other; faces typed by an
earlier study: keep them or start empty (and deleting the last study offers to clear them); the tree's title uses
the file's name. Inlets / outlets coloured by rank of their value (pale = slow / low, dark = fast / high).
  - Mesh window: settings and "Mesh ready" as small tables with coloured verdicts; the "Generate mesh" bar spans the
meshing only. Fluid & flow: Air / Water at any temperature (density and viscosity from it), the Reynolds number as
the range over the inlets (the fastest decides), what the fluid's temperature means.
  - Save first: Generate mesh and Run offer to save a part with unsaved changes (the set-up lives in the part file).
  - Post-processing: PDF / video buttons open the file in front (or say why not); shorter, plain file names; the figures
are always made (a thread fix); the window fits the screen. 3D view: "Colours on the cuts" with the vectors and
streamlines, an eye per cut, the triad's labels never overlap, the range line inside the legend.

NEW IN v0.22.1
  - Fix: "The geometry export is not watertight" on parts with faces of very different sizes (Part3). v0.22.0 faceted
each face at its own tolerance, so neighbouring faces did not share the points on their common edge (cracks).
Now one tolerance per body (the finest its faces need): closed again, and round faces stay round.

NEW IN v0.22.0
  - Transient flow inside a part: Transient in the Run dialog (its length in passages of the flow through the part,
20 by default), "Switch to transient" in the run window and "Continue as transient" in the study quality list.
The result is the time average over the second half, with how much the pressure drop swings (± standard deviation,
min–max, the period when it repeats); a flow that does not swing says that a steady run gives the same, faster.
  - Exported geometry: round faces keep ~40–50 segments whatever the part's size (a fixed 2 mm tolerance made small
tubes octagons, also for the solver). Runs made before v0.22 on small parts: run them again.
  - On the LaminaroCFD tab Laminaro takes the face clicks: a small bar beside the face (its colour and type, Inlet… ·
    Outlet… · Wall · Slip · Far field · Ground · Edit…) instead of Inventor's mini-toolbar; Ctrl+click adds faces; Esc or
a click elsewhere closes it; the faces show yellow. A right-click on them acts on all of them.
  - Tree: untouched walls in one folded line ("Walls: all other faces (11)"), set boundaries first, shorter lines.
  - Mesh window: three digits on the cell sizes, "Next: Run (~N min …)"; tree "Mesh · 177 k cells ✓".
  - Run window: "Show all residuals" names its colours (Ux · Uy · Uz · k · ω · continuity).
  - 3D view: the outlines of curved faces drawn smoothly from Inventor's normals; finer facets face by face.
Mesh view: the surface mesh light (front side only) / full / off. The colour range buttons say what they do
("Laminaro's range" · "Fit to the cut" · "Zero in the middle", the last for pressure only) and which one is on.

NEW IN v0.21.0
  - Boundaries: a double-click on a face always opens its editor (also one face after the other); nothing stays selected
after OK / Cancel, so earlier faces are no longer edited along. The face being edited is yellow (orange read as an
outlet); the colour square shows the chosen type's colour at once; no empty row under Type. The small Boundaries
panel sits in the lower right corner of the model view.
  - Run window: no "steady" before iteration 300 (the start-up no longer counts); each key result told by its own band
    ("nearly steady … (stops at ±1 %)"); the stop rule said in full (low residuals, or residuals that stopped falling);
one set of buttons. Chart: "Δp [Pa]", the current value, the axis ends with units, the ±1 % band as a pale strip.
  - Check the mesh: one run on a coarser mesh (2.5× fewer cells, with its time) compared with this one; then optionally
one finer for the full Verify ×3. Replaces "Run on the Fine mesh" for mesh independence.
  - 3D view: the part's lines and surface come from Inventor (exact edges, outlines of curved faces, hidden edges faint);
the run's mesh lines only when the part has changed since the run. A nicer X/Y/Z triad (shaded arrows, labels never
clipped, an axis pointing at you as a ring). The Controls column on one grid; sub-options grey out when off.
  - Post-processing: the stage strip never wraps (the font steps down instead); the left column starts at half the window.

NEW IN v0.20.0
  - Post-processing says where you are: a stage strip (① Check the result · ② Explore and pick · ③ Arrange the
report (n) · ④ Make the report), done stages ticked green, the current one blue; ④ without figures says so.
  - "＋ Add this view to the report" in the 3D view (bottom right) with "Report: n figures ›"; the first time the 3D
view says what it is for ("?" brings it back). ② has three numbered steps and plain buttons: This view: Add to
the report… / Keep for later…; Picture of this view: Save as PNG… / Copy to clipboard, each with a confirmation
(Open · Show in folder). "Use this view" and "with the 3D view I set" are gone.
  - Thumbnails of the views in ② and ③. Ticked views reach ③ (fixed).
  - New cut from Inventor…: click it, then click in Inventor (as Measure): a work plane or flat face cuts at once, two
cylinders / axes or three points too; one axis waits for Done. Esc or Cancel stops. A usable selection is used at once.
  - 3D view: a smaller legend (the "beyond the range" line only when ≥ 5 %), a clickable X/Y/Z triad (look along an
axis; Iso), the geometry as lines / surface / both / off (lines by default inside a part), no blank view on toggles.
  - Finished reports open by themselves, each file in its own program (Settings: untick to stop).
  - Runs: stop when the key result is steady and the residuals are flat; the live Δp is flow-weighted, in Pa; the
live check uses one band and no "Switch to transient" for flow inside a part; Transient is greyed out there
(not yet); videos are greyed out for flow inside a part.
  - Right-click on faces: Set boundary for N faces… and the six types as one list (not around the cursor).
  - Boundary colours redraw when Inventor drops them, also with the LaminaroCFD tab active; a colour legend in the tree.
  - Results that arrive late through Dropbox are picked up ("made before v0.13" on new runs fixed).

NEW IN v0.19.0
  - Post-processing in four stages: ① Check the result (the numbers with their uncertainty, the verdict, the study
quality suggestions) · ② Explore · ③ Pick the pictures · ④ Make the report. The verdict's first sentence stays
visible above them; the left column starts at ~45 % and keeps where you drag the divider; the cards are narrower.
  - The 3D view's controls fold away when the pane is narrow ("☰ Controls"); cuts at any angle ("at any angle" in a
cut's list), shift along the normal, turn 15° about X/Y/Z, exact point and normal, "Look at" (square to the cut).
  - New cut from selection in Inventor: a work plane, a flat face, one cylinder (the plane through its axis; turn it
about the axis), two cylinders (the plane through both axes), or three vertices / work points.
  - Saved views belong to the study ("Laminaro views.json" in its results folder) and look the same on every run;
the window reopens as you left it (camera, cuts, colours).
  - High-resolution picture (3840 × 2160 PNG with legend, title and caption) to the report folder, or Copy picture.
  - Tick views to make them the report's figures; ③ lists them in order with captions and shows the report's outline
(change any line); ④ makes the figures from the 3D view and the report follows the outline.
  - Run dialog: "● Ready to run" (green) or "● Unusual but allowed" (orange, the button says "Run anyway");
"Can't run yet" lists what is missing. The Mesh window says what the size resolves ("the smallest opening gets
    ~14 cells across: enough …").
  - Fixed: a run's verdict no longer says "settled everywhere" from the residual field (it contradicted "not
settled yet"); duct runs now track the pressure drop as the goal, so the transient-flow check works there too.

NEW IN v0.18.0
  - Temperature: each inlet can have its own temperature (boundary editor, grey = the fluid's). The run carries the
temperature with the flow and gives the mixed (flow-weighted) temperature at every outlet: cards in
post-processing, the headline, reports, and a Temperature colouring in the 3D view (click a cut: speed, pressure
and temperature). The flow itself is not changed by temperature (no buoyancy; walls adiabatic) - that is a
    later step. Tested: 60 °C and 20 °C in at equal flows → 39.98 °C out.
  - Compare (ribbon): two runs of the part, any study, side by side: each key result with B − A and Δ %, its
    uncertainty (convergence, and the mesh after Verify ×3), grey when the difference is within the uncertainty;
below, what differs in the set-up (mesh, speeds, temperatures, fluid, the part).
  - Verify ×3 (Study quality improvement suggestions): the same study on three meshes (÷2.5, ×1, ×2.5 the cells),
queued as one set. When the last is done every key result gets its mesh uncertainty (Roache's grid convergence
index): "± 0.3 % (convergence) ± 1.8 % (mesh)" on the cards, a Mesh check section in Study quality, and in
    Compare.
  - Right-click (LaminaroCFD tab): the boundary types sit around the cursor (Inlet… east, Outlet… west, Wall south,
slip, far field, ground on the diagonals, "Set boundary…" north); the list below no longer repeats them. A face
under the cursor that is not selected yet is the one meant (it gets selected). Inlet… / Outlet… also work with
    the Model tree showing.

NEW IN v0.17.2
  - Clicking a face selects its line in the LaminaroCFD tree again (v0.17.0 often missed it); Ctrl+clicked faces all
    turn bold.
  - Right-click on selected faces: "Set boundary as ▸ Inlet… · Outlet… · Wall (no-slip) · Wall (slip) / symmetry ·
    Open (far field) · Ground". Walls, slip, far field and ground apply at once (each face its own line, one Undo);
Inlet / Outlet open the editor with that type set and the value box ready to type. (The inlet temperature joins
this when temperature arrives in v0.18.)
  - Faces selected before opening the editor are reliably edited together (the editor no longer drops them while it
    opens).

NEW IN v0.17.1
  - On the LaminaroCFD tab (and while the boundary editor is open) right-click shows only Laminaro's commands
(Set boundary…, the tree's boundary and study items); Inventor's sketch and drawing items (Line, Trim, Finish 2D
Sketch, …) are hidden there. A sketch still open for editing is finished when you click a Laminaro command.

NEW IN v0.17.0
  - Stop when converged: a steady run ends by itself once every key result (Cd; the pressure drop and the flow per
outlet inside a duct) is steady within ±1 % over 200 iterations and the residuals are low (below 1e-4, or three
orders below their start; internal flow also needs inflow = outflow within 0.5 %); at least 300 iterations.
    Run dialog: Stop when converged · Quick ±2 % · Normal ±1 % · Strict ±0.5 %; "at most N iterations" stays the cap.
The run window says why it stopped ("Stopped at iteration 316: converged (Cd steady within ±0.3 % …)").
  - Precision in engineering terms instead of residual jargon: each result card shows its band ("± 0.3 %
(convergence)"); the verdict reads "Good enough for engineering use" (≤ ±1 %), "Usable for trends and
comparisons" (±1–3 %) or "Not settled yet" (> ±3 %), with the mass balance for internal flow and where the
solution is still settling (at the part, or far from it). The residual explanation is in the tooltip and in
Study quality improvement suggestions. The 3D view has a new colouring: "Where still settling".
  - Steady or transient from the start (Run dialog, with "Which one do I need?"). When a steady run shows transient
flow, Windows notifies you ("Transient flow detected. Switch to a transient simulation?"); the run continues
meanwhile, and if you keep steady the result is marked as a mean of a swinging flow.
  - The Run button says only "Run on 96 405 cells" (or "~500 k cells" before the mesh is made).
  - No queuing: while a run goes, 5 Run opens its run window; "Run longer", "Continue as transient" and the Study
quality buttons wait until it has ended.
  - Ctrl+click several faces in the model: their lines in the LaminaroCFD tree turn bold; right-click → "Set
boundary for 6 faces…" opens the editor for all of them.
  - "Leave the part as it is until the mesh is ready / the run is done" instead of "you can keep working"; an amber
line appears at once if the part changes during a job. No separate "Units: …" line in the step windows; the mesh
legend says "Cell size (side of a cube of the same volume)".
  - The colour legend shows pointed ends where part of the cut lies outside the range, and one line: "2 % of the cut
    is above 54.0 (dark red)".
  - Post-processing: the left column scrolls instead of squeezing "Made so far" (T14s at 150 %); smaller result
cards; the presets are ticks (2-page summary and Full technical report exclude each other; a video tick adds
MP4); a video-only request makes only the video, with no default text in the box; notes are one line.

NEW IN v0.16.0
  - A report being made shows the solver's look in "Made so far": Sent · Started · Reading the run · Writing ·
Pictures / video · Files · Done, a bar from the left, and a blinking dot with the reason while it waits; a
question from Claude is its own amber stage.
  - PowerPoint as a report format (16:9: key numbers, pictures, convergence, what the result rests on, set-up;
    videos embedded).
  - 3D view: the colour scale can be changed (click an end to type it; Auto · Fit this cut · Symmetric; ▲/▼ when part
of the cut is outside); "Use this view" takes it to the report's pictures. Streamlines from the inlets, the first
cut or everywhere, with density, thickness, colour by speed and arrowheads, and "Show the cuts" off for a 3D view
of the streamlines alone; they stop at the walls. Vectors and streamlines have a thickness slider.
  - The run window has its × whenever nothing runs. No Run status button: while a run goes, 5 Run shows its progress
ring and opens the run window ("Start another run…" there).
  - Boundaries: Ctrl+click several faces (or select several lines in the tree) and give them one type with one OK;
each stays its own boundary unless "Make them one boundary"; a flow rate goes to each, or in total by area.
  - Faces coloured by their boundary while the LaminaroCFD tree shows (inlets blue, outlets orange, open green, slip
violet, ground brown, walls grey; the same value = the same colour), with the colour in the tree; off in Settings.
  - A Windows notification when a run or a mesh finishes (click: the results / the Mesh window); off in Settings.
  - US customary parts: the run's headline, Results.html and the study check's messages in the part's units too.
NEW IN v0.15.0
  - Mesh by the number of cells, not by cell size: 4 Mesh is one window that moves through Settings (a slider from
    20 000 cells up to what this PC's memory allows, with Draft ~100 k · Standard ~500 k · Fine ~2 M as marks; the
cell size is worked out from the number), Generating (one button: Cancel meshing) and Ready (target vs cells got,
the colour legend, Show/Hide mesh on part, The mesh in 3D…, ‹ Mesh settings, Next: Run ›). The run window is for
simulations only. Meshes generated by older versions count as out of date.
  - US customary units: the part decides (Inventor's Document Settings > Units: in / ft → US customary, mm / m →
    Metric); Settings can fix "Always Metric" or "Always US customary". ft/s or mph, CFM, inH2O or psf, lbf, °F, in;
the result cards show SI small underneath; reports put SI in brackets; the study and the solver stay SI. A metric
speed above 70 m/s asks "did you mean mph?".
  - Every number with a decimal point and a narrow space between thousands, whatever Windows' regional format says.
  - Reports and videos go to Downloads (or a folder chosen under Report or in Settings) with plain names; "Made so
far" opens them there and says when they were moved.
  - A new part starts at Study 1 (another part's leftover results folder gets "Part1 (2) · LaminaroCFD").
  - Double-click a face (LaminaroCFD tree showing) opens its boundary editor.
  - Vectors on the cuts are visible (in front of the cut, scaled by that cut's speeds).
  - Wording: "Show the geometry"; "Study quality improvement suggestions".
NEW IN v0.14.0
  - Delete study leaves nothing behind: its settings and runs in the part, its results folder beside the part
(and the part's "· LaminaroCFD" folder when empty), its job folders and generated mesh, the mesh drawn on
the part. A study with a run in progress asks you to stop it first. Deleting the last study, saving, and
starting a new one no longer breaks Inventor ("Encountered an improper argument" loop, crash on Create
study); a leftover results folder gets a new study name ("Study 2"); an error is shown once.
  - New study suggests the fluid body (the one around the others, or one called air, water, fluid …), so the
fluid drop-down and the body's role agree.
  - Tree and ribbon: picking a face of the fluid body selects its boundary line in the tree; the "Next:" line
names only the step (full text in its tooltip); the ribbon button of the open step stays pressed.
  - Boundaries hint: two short lines in the lower left of the view, fades after a few seconds; normal ×.
  - Run window: one button ("Cancel meshing" discards the mesh job and reopens Mesh with its settings;
"Stop run" / "Cancel run" for a simulation); no ×, Alt+F4 / Esc ask to cancel; the header, the stages and
the orange line say the same thing; the bar fills from the left. Mesh ready: Next: Run › · Show/Hide mesh on
part · The mesh in 3D…, and a legend: colours by cell size, non-orthogonality or skewness.
  - Mesh dialog: memory in MB for small meshes. Every step's Next button reads "Next: <step> ›".
  - True cuts: the 3D mesh view cuts every cell with its real shape (cells fitted to the walls and the wall
layers follow the part, no stair steps); the results' colours end exactly at the part's contour, with its
outline drawn on the cut (new runs; older runs keep the grid's edge).
  - Post-processing: two columns (left: the run, Report / Study quality; right: the 3D view at full height,
draggable divider). "Make it" becomes "Stop making" while a request is made (asks; discards everything it
made; your request stays). Large windows fit the screen and open where you left them.
NEW IN v0.13.0
  - Study quality (the tab beside 3D view in post-processing): convergence, mesh quality, y+ on the walls, the
fluid region against common guidance (upstream / downstream length, blockage), backflow at outlets,
steady/unsteady, the turbulence model, and a ranked "what to do next" with buttons (Run on the Standard /
Fine mesh, Run longer, Continue as transient). All checks by code from the run's own files.
  - Post-processing: Claude may ask up to three clarifying questions before writing; they appear under
"Made so far" with an answer box and Send. New heading and the sentence "Your CAD model is never sent to
the cloud." The request box no longer covers the chips at 150 %.
  - The mesh: on the part as surface cells with edges and a cut coloured by cell size (all bodies hidden while
it shows); "The mesh in 3D…" in the mesh window slides a cut through the cells, coloured by size,
    non-orthogonality or skewness.
  - The 3D view waits while its data is still arriving through Dropbox ("x of y MB…") and opens by itself.
  - Every number with at most 4 significant digits. An unsaved part is named by Inventor's own name ("Part1"),
and the Run dialog says its results go to Documents\Laminaro\Results until it is saved.
NEW IN v0.12.0
  - No Goals step: every run starts steady and records everything cheap (forces and coefficients on every
solid body, pressure and flow on every inlet/outlet); after ~200 iterations the run window offers
transient when the flow does not settle. The ribbon is 1 Geometry … 6 Post-processing.
  - Turbulence: suggested from the Reynolds number (Fluid & flow), overridable; inlet intensity and length
scale per inlet; the report says which values were yours.
  - Run window: Save results and continue to post-processing · Discard results (asks); a convergence
verdict computed from the run (Cd as a range when not converged; reports marked Preliminary); Run longer.
    Mesh jobs: five stages, the mesher's steps in plain words, "Show mesh on part". Times as "19 Oct 19:49";
    the window fits its content.
  - Post-processing (6): replaces the result card and the Report button. Reports PDF / Word / HTML and videos
MP4 / GIF (turntable, a cut sweeping through the wake, the flow over time), all in the run's folder.
The run in 3D inside the window. Result colours on the part are gone.
  - One step window at a time; Fluid & flow has ‹ Boundaries · Mesh › only; Settings has OK · Cancel and a
choice of results folder; a new study after deleting all is "Study 1" again. The Deliver group is gone.
  - A part changed while a study is open no longer leaves a second copy of the study in the tree; nothing
thrown inside a Laminaro event reaches Inventor (logged in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Laminaro\addin.log).
NEW IN v0.11.4
  - Report: say in words what the report should show and for whom (or pick a suggestion); Laminaro makes a
PDF and a Word file. With the AI switched on (asked once; Settings), Claude by Anthropic writes the text
and can ask for extra pictures (e.g. a cross-section behind the part); every number is inserted from the
run and checked; "What this result rests on" is always included; names are left out of what is sent
unless you untick it. Without the AI, or without a key on the solver PC, the fixed template is used.
"Change it…" makes a revised version. Also from the result card: "Make a report…".
  - Result card: the full results page (set-up, convergence, pictures, limits) under the number tiles;
Show on part · Open in browser · Close.
  - Run window: the residual chart fills from the first iterations (it stayed empty in v0.11.3); Cd on
the second axis also for transient runs. No "Results folder" button (Results.html names the folder).
  - Boundaries: the hint has no buttons; the LaminaroCFD tree can be clicked while it is open; the editor
has OK and Cancel only. Missing inlet/outlet is one grey line; conflicts are amber instructions.
  - Geometry: two choices (Laminaro builds the fluid volume / I've modelled it as a separate body);
lids over picked openings are gone (model the fluid body instead). A fluid body in several pieces is
reported. Goals saves at once (‹ Fluid & flow · Mesh ›). Mesh: ‹ Goals · Generate mesh · Cancel.
  - Wording: "Let's define boundaries", "Go to Boundaries…", "Shall be excluded from study".
NEW IN v0.11.3
  - Several inlets and outlets: each opening is its own boundary with its own speed / flow rate or
pressure (Inlet 1, Inlet 2 ... numbered by position; the check lists each one with its place).
Results show the flow through each opening, each outlet's share, and the pressure drop of every
inlet -> outlet path. The EN 1991-1-4 wind stays a single inlet; in an air box one per side.
  - Boundaries: a small panel next to the tree. Edits are applied with OK or Apply (Cancel drops them);
the tree text follows what is stored. Up comes from the Ground face (no Up question).
  - Step names without numbers outside the ribbon.
  - Mesh window: its own view (mesh stages, cell count, a mesh picture, "Run ›").
  - Run window: U = the largest of Ux/Uy/Uz, "Show all residuals", Cd on a second axis; a banner when
the curves have flattened ("Converged enough: stop and show results"; or switch to unsteady, which
    restarts from the steady fields).
  - Results: Results.html (numbers, set-up, convergence, pictures, what the result rests on) at the top
of the run folder; pictures\ and data\ (readable names) beneath. "Show on part" hides the fluid body
and shows a legend. The window's folder button opens the results folder.
  - Cores: Settings shows this PC (cores, performance + efficiency, threads); the default is the
performance cores. The Run dialog says how many cores the solve takes and how many stay free.
  - Icons: sized from the display scaling, sharp icon format, glyphs fill the tile; the Settings test
    rows are gone.

NEW IN v0.11.2
The boundaries are nodes in the LaminaroCFD tree under 2 Boundaries (selecting one lights its faces up; double-click
to edit it in a small panel; right-click: Pick faces that differ, Split, Merge, Remove). The big list window is gone.
A bold "Next" node at the top of the study, a ring on the next step's ribbon button and the status bar say what to
do next; the step windows have "< Back" and "Next >" buttons named after the neighbouring steps.
  5 Mesh: "Generate mesh" builds the mesh first and shows its real cell count, quality, wall layers and a picture;
6 Run then solves on that mesh without remeshing (until the geometry or the boundary layout changes).
New study explains the first step and opens 2 Boundaries in one click. No "comes later" texts anywhere; Compare
and Report are hidden until they work. Neutral waiting messages. The chart legend sits above the plot. Inventor
stays in front when a Laminaro window closes. Cancel pressed just as a run starts now stops it.

NEW IN v0.11.1
2 Boundaries explains each type under the Type box; Open (far field) is now a real far field (it was solved
like Outlet); the outlet pressure says what it means ("Pa above ambient"); wrong values turn the field red and are
not applied; the close button reads "✓ Boundaries complete" / "Close, finish later" with what is missing.
"Up" row: one up direction per study (from the Ground face, or chosen); lift is reported along it.
Steady / transient moved to 4 Goals; the run length to 6 Run. Clearer Run buttons.
Run window: stages Sent · On the desk · Meshing · Solving · Pictures · Done, a bar from the first second, a blinking
dot with the reason while it waits, "Back to the study set-up". Stop now also stops meshing. If the mesh grows far
past the estimate (or past the PC's memory), meshing pauses and asks: Continue, or Stop.
Modelled box: the refinement zones follow the solid's size across the flow (a long pole no longer refines the whole
duct), and the cell estimate counts them.

NEW IN v0.11.0 (study set-up redesign)
Geometry first: New study asks where the fluid is (no question cards, no presets).
Steps reordered: 2 Boundaries before 3 Fluid & flow. "Fluid & flow" now shows its "&" on the ribbon.
2 Boundaries is the click-through list above, with values and directions in the rows.
Modelled fluid box: inlet direction, outlet pressure, EN 1991-1-4 wind profile + rough ground.
Body roles: solid body / fluid region / excluded, per study, always set by you.
No Laminaro tree on parts without a study.
Studies set up with v0.10 keep their runs; 1 Geometry and 2 Boundaries ask for one OK.
Still in Settings (temporary): Icon size / Icon format test for 150 % scaling.
